VT[3] Update 2 Build 4744 New Features, Fixes and Optimizations Thank you for installing the latest update for NewTek VT[3]. This is a cumulative update, incorporating all prior changes within Update 1. Install this patch file to the same directory you have installed VT[3]. This version introduces new features as well as fixes to some known issues and some program optimizations. Key features, fixes and optimizations are listed below: NEW FEATURES: VT-Edit has a user selectable "Horizontal" and "Vertical" mode, making it better for dual monitor setups. New TScript support in DDR for callbacks based on switcher visibility of DDR. Support for separated "Cue In" and "Cue Out" on DDR Support in the Preferences for Type-1 or Type-2 DV capture. Record panel will listen to the DV setting and change the record type based on the preferences. VT-Scope now has dedicated keyboard shortcuts. Capture Panel now has dedicated keyboard shortcuts. Deck Control now has dedicated keyboard shortcuts. Added keyboard shortcut for Batch Capture to advance to next selection you can enter in & out (i & o keys), then press "p" to advance. You can still use the spacebar to step thru those operations. FIXES: When Track clip is set to "end" in the preferences, it will now behave correctly. CG Bugs fixed Mark "In" and mark "Out" keys in VT-Edit improved to support sub-frame trimming correctly. AVI playback fix for clips with inter-frame compression (as used in Indeo codec) Fixed "memory leak on exit" warning with RTV IO file format warning and After Effects 6.0 Fix for slight IRE shift in slow motion and progressive filtering. "Spacers" getting left behind the Story Board has been fixed. Fixed small memory leak in Spline Editor (skin was not deleted) AVI multi-threading problem fixed. Fixed crash upon exit bug in DDR Fix for switching with Cue enabled in the DDR and auto-advance. Batch Audio sync improvements with some decks. Fixed bug where user couldn't rename rtv stills in file bin. Fix for TMPEG MCE problems with "Cut To" OPTIMIZATIONS: Improved edge anti-aliasing in positioning panel Mouse-wheel support has been improved in all modules. AVI playback optimizations for playing NTSC on PAL (or vice versa). Also applies to slow-mo on AVI files. TMPGEnc driver updates. Skin search paths added to VT[3].exe when called from the command line. Stability improvements in the Storyboard. Start menu will always come up in front of always-on-top windows Menus do not show up behind "always-on-top" windows DSK drop-down in the switcher tracks patch name changes Zero-byte DV frames are now ignored. (allowing audio sync to be improved with live DV sources.) Improved TL crouton painting. Improvement to writer for DV type 1 files. It now uses un-buffered IO, always avoid using an IO clock, always use no multiplexing and also disable the extra, empty audio stream getting put in the files. Optimizations in DV importer modules.
