Creating a Scroll in Edit Media
by Donny Oropeza 17/03/2006

TriCaster offers multiple ways to create and display text. The tutorial below will describe how to create ending credits or a scrolling text page.

Concept
Basic. Create a Scroll page using Video Effect Scroll Page
Module
Edit Media
Assets
None
Time
5 minutes

Select the “Edit Media” Tab. Once on the Edit Media Tab you are going to use the Media Bin to locate the CG Scroll Page Effect. On the bottom of the Media Bin there are some "Hotlist" tabs. Click on the one labeled "Titles". This will direct the Media Bin to the Titles folder on your hard drive.

Now select and drag the CG Scroll Page to the Timeline or Story board depending on which one you are in. With the cg page still selected open the Control tab which is to the right of the Media Bin tab. Once on the Control tab you will want to select Title Compose. We are now presented with a blank page and a cursor.

Click where you want your text to start and begin typing your credits. You can create your own or you can use the example text that is provided.

Now that we have typed the necessary text, you will notice that it is not centered. To center our text, hit <ctrl> + “a” to select all text. Then click the justify center button. With all of the text selected you can make adjustments to color, fonts, bold, or italic.

We can now hit play and see what our credit roll in action.
