Bordeaux, France
14 October, 2002 NewTek Europe, the
company charged with developing the EMEA market for
world-class products LightWave, Video Toaster and
Aura among others, today employed Ben Vost, ex-editor
of 3D World magazine and press relations advisor to
3D Festival. Ben joins the company after a period
of freelance work including LightWave projects and
feature writing for a number of magazines.
In his previous role
as editor of Future Publishings 3D World, an
influential international monthly magazine for professional
3D artists, Ben was responsible for bringing together
ideas that influenced a large amount of the magazines
current content.
"Ben joining
the team is something weve worked on for a long
time," said Franck Lafage, director of NewTek
Europe. "His communication skills, talents and
enthusiasm will bring a great deal to the company
and will greatly improve relationships with the LightWave-using
community."
Bens multifaceted
role at NewTek Europe includes the improvement of
the companys multilingual technical support,
dealing with registered users all over Europe. He
will also be responsible for generating press materials
and visiting major clients to ensure that they are
receiving the attention they desire from NewTek. "He
will act as an ambassador for the company, thanks
to his prominence in the 3D community", said
NewTek Europe boss Franck Lafage.
"This represents
an amazing new opportunity for me", said an enthusiastic
Ben Vost. "A new country, a new house, a new
job and LightWave. NewTek Europe is even paying me!"
