Ben Vost joins NewTek Europe

NewTek Europe employs Ben Vost, ex-editor of 3D World magazine, to help with multilingual technical support and improve industry and community relations

Bordeaux, France — 14 October, 2002 — NewTek Europe, the company charged with developing the EMEA market for world-class products LightWave, Video Toaster and Aura among others, today employed Ben Vost, ex-editor of 3D World magazine and press relations advisor to 3D Festival. Ben joins the company after a period of freelance work including LightWave projects and feature writing for a number of magazines.

In his previous role as editor of Future Publishing’s 3D World, an influential international monthly magazine for professional 3D artists, Ben was responsible for bringing together ideas that influenced a large amount of the magazine’s current content.

"Ben joining the team is something we’ve worked on for a long time," said Franck Lafage, director of NewTek Europe. "His communication skills, talents and enthusiasm will bring a great deal to the company and will greatly improve relationships with the LightWave-using community."

Ben’s multifaceted role at NewTek Europe includes the improvement of the company’s multilingual technical support, dealing with registered users all over Europe. He will also be responsible for generating press materials and visiting major clients to ensure that they are receiving the attention they desire from NewTek. "He will act as an ambassador for the company, thanks to his prominence in the 3D community", said NewTek Europe boss Franck Lafage.
