¡Leame!Lisez-moi

In your opinion, what can we improve on the Video Toaster, or what tools would you like to see implemented, in a future version?

We would love to see some more complete compositing tools, like Digital Fusion, integrated. We would like to see a few things added to VT Edit, like independent filters on each video layer and more options for controlling the layers. Toaster Edit has been really optimised in VT[4], but it could still be better.

How did you hook up with CONCEPTO VISUAL?

We're still in either close contact or distant with DAN VIDEO,and since the foundation of Artimagen, whether for purchase of video equipment or for advice, we've been close to Concepto Visual — we've known each other since starting in this business.

You know LightWave and Digital Fusion. What do you think of the latest versions of these programs? Have you integrated them into your Video Toaster setup?

We know them and we use them. For LightWave it's version 7.5. We recently used Digital Fusion for the creation of the FENAVIN ad we already talked about. We haven't had the time to get the latest versions of these products, but what we have been able to see has been very promising.

How do you see the future of these production and post-production systems?

Every day they become more and more necessary and I can't imagine a single day without a system of this type in our business. The future seems brighter than ever since these systems constantly integrate tools that allow work of ever better quality.

Are you satisfied with the result?

And how! As proof, we use the Toaster for almost everything we work on.

To conclude, what projects have you got lined up for the future?

In order to achieve bigger and better projects we’re working on setting up a building to house one or two stages, post-production studios, sound studios and offices.
