TriCaster ™ TCX850 in Action
China National Acrobatic Troupe Hits The Screens in Xátiva, Spain |
After receiving their first TriCaster TCXD850 demo unit, NewTek Specialist Dealer IDcromvideo SL made a real field test! The new TriCaster unit in HD/SD with 8 inputs and 22 channels was chosen to cover a series of events celebrated in XÁTIVA, Spain, at the occasion of the city’s annual fair known as the “Feria de Agosto de Xátiva”. |
 |
This series of events started with the opening of the fair and the show performed by the China National Acrobatic Troupe. Modosdever, the audiovisual company in charge of covering the event, used TriCaster TCXD850 to power and feed the venue’s two giant screens as well as to stream the event live on the web.
Outstanding Performance!
TriCaster TCXD850’s performance was "outstanding”, commented Modosdever’s operators and technicians after this successful experience. Confident about the power and stability of the system, the media company opted to use it to produce and stream the subsequent events celebrated this week in the context of the fair. TriCaster TCXD850 (still in its demo version), thus became the backbone of the fair’s live production system!

Reliability
The coverage of large events requires complex technical equipment and configurations. Lightweight and compact, TriCaster portable live production system is an integrated technical solution enabling to simultaneously produce, live stream, broadcast, project and record HD and SD network-style productions, without incurring the expenses and resources traditionally involved in such cases.
"I’ve been in the audiovisual sector for 20 years and I’ve been providing services for events for about 15 years. I admit that the "all-in-one” multimedia concept had always intrigued me. The idea that one system can do it all sometimes raises doubts. But this system [TriCaster], proved to be highly reliable!” said Manuel Tomas, Technical Director at Modosdever.

Portability and convenience
One of the operators’ concerns had to do with the volume and weight of this new unit which, unlike previous models, comes in a rack mount form factor. "TriCaster TCXD850 proved to be a valid system in terms of portability and convenience," said Manuel Tomas. "It's much more practical to move a poly-functional module like this one and be able to safely mount a successful event in a short time, than to move and handle all the pieces of equipment usually required for this type of event...a switcher, a tape machine, a video recorder, an audio mixer, a camera monitoring system, miles of cables, the equipment necessary to perform the web streaming, a titling station, monitors and so on..."
