Andrew Lock is the presenter of the popular weekly web TV show, ‘Help! My Business Sucks!’. This show is a fast moving weekly guide that helps entrepreneurs get more done and have more fun. Andrew uses Tricaster STUDIO™ to produce the show in a fast, efficient and professional way.

How did you come across the TriCaster?
My original background was in video production for live events and I had used the TriCaster to record those. That in itself was a big breakthrough because it saved days of capturing then editing when everything could be switched live.

How come did you have the idea of producing your own show?
My interest in marketing developed over the years to a point where I left the video production business and I developed a business on eBay. That was so successful that I started teaching others how to do the same. About a year ago I thought ‘no one has produced an online TV show to help people promote their business more effectively, and that’s how the idea for ‘Help! My Business Sucks!’ was born.

What led your choice to TriCaster STUDIO?
Although there are plenty of web TV shows out there, I observed that frankly, most of them are poor quality. I wanted to create something that matched up with broadcast TV. So that search led me to the Tricaster STUDIO. I chose the STUDIO model because of the virtual sets and the component inputs, and although I wanted to have my own set design, the built-in sets enabled me to get the show started very fast. They’re actually stunning quality, especially with the real-time reflections and shadows that are unique to the Tricaster.

What was the approximate learning curve for you to feel confortable on TriCaster?
The learning curve was ridiculously easy. It’s extremely well designed to be user-friendly. I honestly believe that if it was accidentally shipped without a user manual, anyone could figure out how to use all but the most advanced functions. That’s how easy it is to get up and running.

Why do you believe TriCaster is ideal for your shows?
There’s some other factors about the TriCaster that are important to me. One is the reliability. I always worry about any hardware that relies on computer technology, but the TriCaster is absolutely rock solid and stable. It’s a tribute to the engineers who built it because I haven’t had a single minute when it’s gone down. When you’re producing a regular TV show on a schedule I can’t afford to have down time.

What do you like best in TriCaster?
Something else I like about the unit is the ability to operate it myself. For most shows I have my tech guy operate the Tricaster, but there’s been a few occasions where I’ve done it myself without any problems. I absolutely love the Tricaster, there’s nothing else out there like it, it’s completely unique. You can see Andrew’s weekly show at www.HelpMyBusiness.com
