How many effects shots did you produce?
Originally there were only going to be three effects. But in the course of the work it ended up with 18 or 19 shots. The whole thing took about two and a bit months in the end.

Was working with LightWave fast enough at film resolution?
Most of the work we did would actually play back in realtime through Layout, which was great. I was gratified because this is the kind of work that LightWave isn’t best known for. At points I was thinking, "Perhaps I should have used something else", but I’ve been pleasantly surprised at just how well it dealt with the amount of data thrown at it.

When did you first start using LightWave?
In 1995 when version 4 first came out for the PC. "My Wrongs 8245-8249 and 117" was all produced using LightWave 7.5.

What do you like about the package?
LightWave has always allowed you to create a very high standard of animation in a surprisingly short amount of time. It's usually pretty easy to create something that looks pretty good, pretty quickly.

What could be improved for you?
Continuing from the above, the problem that you then find is that once you've created a certain level of work, you can't easily take it any further. You can't go in and start re-arranging the order deformations take place, or linking different variables together in clever ways. It's kind of what you see is what you get.

What spec machine(s) do you use it on at the moment?
I've got an AthlonXP 1600+ with 512Mb RAM and a VT2 in it. Also a dual MP1800+ for rendering.

Thanks for your time, Ben.
