We discovered you at a time of a project for the Thalys trains. What projects will we hear of next?

The Thalys project (Thalys is an international high-speed train operator providing commercial passenger rail transport services to Paris, Brussels, Amsterdam and Cologne) was a short but intense adventure which enabled us to assert our particularity and to answer a complex request efficiently. This project enabled us to improve our workflow and to acquire (with the support of Progiss.com) a Renderfarm. We have a very nice project to come, an international site for Dior which combines the big boss spirit of the brand and a fanciful vision. The 3D helps us to sublimate reality, but I won’t tell you more for now. To be discovered very soon!

If you had to choose one of your realizations, only one, the project you are the most proud of?

I would choose without any hesitation our work for the photo studio Le petit oiseau va sortir. However humble, it enabled us to accomplish a real team work with a coherent artistic direction and to create a world which matches our customer’s image. We created the 3D mascot, the decorations, the soundtrack and the technical functionalities. It is an accurate representation of 555LAb’s spirit, our creativity and a coherent job at the service of our customer.

It also enabled us to develop another approach of 3D on Internet. We won awards for it and a publication in the Web Design Interactive (Editions Tachen).

Lastly, you mentioned to us that you were sometimes seeking other LightWave talents to punctually lend each other a hand on your projects. An advertisement to be passed perhaps?

This year, we would like to develop 3D animation, post-production and VFX. The search for true LightWave experts is not easy. So, if you are a 3D artist and want to get involved in great projects, do not hesitate to contact 555Lab, there is certainly a project waiting for you!
